Barney Bubbles

Shindig! feature and interview celebrating publication of The Wild World of Barney Bubbles

The Wild World of Barney Bubbles is featured in the current issue of British music magazine Shindig! with a colourful double page spread and an interview with author Paul Gorman on the companion website.

In the interview, Gorman talks about Barney Bubbles’ enduring though ‘silent influence’, citing the work of such contemporary designers and artists as Aries Moross, Raissa Pardini, The Fandangoe Kid, Patrick Thomas, Experimental Jetset and M/M.

Gorman also talks about the incredibly high bar Bubbles set for himself, quoting Peter Saville’s opinion, ‘You can tell he never said, “That’ll do”.’

Visit Aries Moross’s website and watch a recent presentation by Raissa Pardini here.

The Fandangoe Kid’s work is concerned with creativity as catharsis; among her most recent projects is The Fandangoe Skip, which will feature at Festival 14 at London’s Canary Wharf soon.

Patrick Thomas is a Berlin-based British graphic artist, Experimental Jetset is a collective in Amsterdam and M/M Paris is a very prominent international design agency.
